The main function of Die head is to distribute the melted polymer evenly so that the thickness measured around the circumference of the tube being produced is uniform. It is the key factor to ensure a quality film.

PVC Pipe Plant

Pvc pipe are manufactured by extrusion of raw material PVC. And generally follow the same steps of typical pipe extrusion operations: feeding of raw material pellets/powder into the PVC twin screw extruder. Melting and heating in multiple extruder zones. Extruding through a die to shape into a pipe. A pipe extrusion line consists of a number of pieces of equipment. An extruder converts the polyethylene raw material to a continuous tubular melt by extrusion through an annular die. The molten pipe then proceeds through a sizing or calibration device (which fixes its dimensions) to a cooling trough.
